Successful together in the circular economy
Our commitment to more sustainable supply chains is bearing fruit thanks to our partnership with IFCO. As a partner in the unique "Share and Reuse" model, Biogros actively participates in the Circular Economy.
Our commitment to more sustainable supply chains is paying off. In 2021, the company IFCO achieved new records in environmental savings thanks to the reusable containers; in total, more than 616 thousand tonnes of CO2e emissions were saved along the fresh food supply chain.
As a partner in the unique "Share and Reuse" model, Biogros actively participates in the circular economy and at the same time is able to reduce its water and energy consumption as well as its food waste (see graphic for details). Ultimately, thanks to the use of IFCO packaging solutions, the overall environmental footprint of our supply chain is reduced.
IFCO multiway crates are all made of the same material and can therefore be reused up to 100 times and then granulated and 100% recycled without any problems.
