Spring is the perfect time for a deep clean, and using natural ingredients makes it both effective and eco-friendly. Here are some sustainable cleaning tips:
White vinegar – A natural descaler and disinfectant, great for surfaces, bathrooms, and windows.
Baking soda – Perfect for deodorizing, removing stains, and deep cleaning.
Lemon, lavender or tea tree essential oil – Adds freshness and has natural antibacterial properties.
- Natural All-Purpose Cleaner with Vinegar & Lemon
Ingredients:
• 500 ml water
• 250 ml white vinegar
• Peel of one organic lemon (for a fresh scent & extra cleaning power)
• 10 drops of essential oil (e.g., lavender or tea tree for antibacterial effect)
Instructions:
- Place the lemon peels in a jar and cover with vinegar.
- Let it sit for at least 24 hours (the longer, the stronger the scent).
- Strain the mixture and pour it into a spray bottle.
- Add water and essential oil, shake well – ready to use!
Usage:
Perfect for cleaning kitchen surfaces, bathrooms, windows, or mirrors. Simply spray and wipe with a cloth.
Tip: For stubborn dirt, add baking soda for extra power!
2. Wood Cleaner – Gentle Care for Furniture & Floors
Ingredients:
• 500 ml lukewarm water
• 2 tbsp white vinegar or apple cider vinegar
• 1 tsp olive oil or linseed oil (for nourishment & shine)

Usage:

• Do not spray directly onto wood – apply to the cloth first!

• Spray directly onto glass surfaces and wipe with a lint-free cloth or newspaper.
• For spotless windows, clean on a cloudy day – no streaks!
5. Bathroom Cleaner – Natural Against Limescale & Soap Residue
Ingredients:
• 200 ml water
• 100 ml vinegar
• 2 tbsp baking soda
• 5 drops tea tree essential oil (fights bacteria & mold)
Usage:
• Pour into a spray bottle, apply, and let sit for a few minutes.
• Wipe with a sponge or cloth – for stubborn spots, use an old toothbrush!
• Do not use on natural stone like marble or granite, as vinegar can damage it.
